Welcome to the Soaring League of North Texas
One of the oldest RC soaring clubs in North America, based in the DFW Metroplex. AMA charter #1957. We fly monthly contests in two formats: F5J (electric launch) and F5L (light electric soaring). Seasoned contest pilots and first-timers are both welcome. Annual dues are $20. Ask about On-Wing mentoring if you are new.

Tomorrow, Monday 7 Sep 2026, 9:00 a.m.–noon — unofficial fun fly / practice at North Texas Thermal Park (RC Airfield & Wildflower Trail, Denton). Not a contest. Come fly, bring a friend. Then Saturday 12 Sep is monthly F5J at Golden Triangle / Jim Fulton Field, Grand Prairie (2820 E Seeton Rd). Field window 8:00 a.m.–noon; pilot meeting 9:00 a.m.; first launch right after. Entry $20 (PayPal SLNTClub@gmail.com or at the field). AMA required. Cash prizes places 1–5. Counts toward Top Gun. Weather and last-minute calls go out on the flying-notices list.
